Family Weekend, Monitoring Weather

UNCW is bringing together 5,000 family members and students for Family Weekend. Generations of Seahawks have enjoyed this cherished tradition, celebrating special moments and building lifelong memories together. As previously announced, we have enhanced campus security. UPD has expanded its team with additional law enforcement personnel to strengthen campus coverage and increase visibility of personnel, with a focus on main campus entrances and high-visibility foot patrols.

You may be wondering about the weather for Family Weekend — based on the current forecast, we have moved some activities indoors in case of rain and wind caused by a cold front unrelated to the tropical weather in the Atlantic. Please monitor the Family Weekend website throughout the weekend for additional scheduling updates.

Overall, UNCW is closely monitoring tropical weather conditions, working with area officials to issue guidance as necessary.
